Wellbeing

We have a great choice of wellbeing sessions, where parent carers have the opportunity for a chat (usually some cake!) and support. For more individual targeted support and information we have a small team of Family Support Practitioners who can assist or support you. You can email them fro further information or support at familysupport@embrace.org.uk

Relaxation Yoga

Don’t let the word Yoga put you off… this is all about relaxation! This is an 18+ Parent Carer session designed and run by Rachel Rookwood (Adventure Yoga) and the aim is for you to take some time out of your hectic week to really relax. An Embrace staff member is always there for a chat after, whilst we enjoy a cuppa and biscuits of course! Wear whatever you are comfortable in, and bring things you may want to make you extra cosy when we are relaxing (like a blanket and pillow). These weekly sessions happen on Wednesday (term time), 1:15-2:45pm and are held in the main hall at Kempston Hammers Sports and Social Club.

Knit Nat Craft Chat

Knit Nat Craft Chat is an online craft group, which takes places twice a month. It is an opportunity for parents and carers to come together and chat while doing some crafting. Great for some ‘you time’ and mindfulness! We have 2 types of sessions:

‘The Chatty One’ is a session where you bring your own craft to create or twiddle with while chatting with others from the comfort of your own home as we meet via Zoom.

We also host Knit Nat led workshops where you are guided through creating something beautiful from the comfort of your own home, as we meet via Zoom.

Both are on Tuesday evenings, 7:15-9:15pm live on Zoom (term time).

Creative Sessions

We offer ad-hoc wellness activities such as sound baths, floral workshops, arts and crafts and active movement. These vary in price, location, day and time.

Mini Holistic Therapy Treatments

Monthly mini holistic therapies such as massage and Reiki. These take place with Breathe Holistic Therapies in Sharnbrook at various days and times.
