At Embrace we pride ourselves on the lasting change and impact we can have on the lives of the families we’re here to help, but none of it is possible without our supporters. We celebrate everyone who contributes to our work with our Circles of Support, which celebrate the many ways individuals, groups, and organisations stand alongside Embrace.
Each circle reflects a different type of generosity, but all are united by one simple truth: every kind act of support plays a part in building brighter futures. So here’s a little more about what each Circle of Support means, and what we do to recognise your contribution in each one.
The Kindness Circle – our Everyday Heroes
The Kindness Circle is made up of our everyday heroes. These are the people who make things happen behind the scenes: donating raffle prizes, toys, resources, or their precious time to support our families and events. Their generosity may feel modest to them, but its impact is deeply felt, and we couldn’t do what we do without them. They create joyful moments, reduce pressure on families, and remind children and young people that they are seen, valued, and included.
We aim recognise every act of kindness with a prompt thank-you email or note, and mention our supporters in our fundraising newsletter (or social media, if they give us their consent). In the past we’ve also given out digital or printed “Proud Supporter” certificates or badges, and everyone who supports us is invited to join our community or open events.
The Compassion Circle – our Valued Partners
Our Compassion Circle unites our loyal supporters, community groups and local businesses who walk alongside Embrace on an ongoing basis. Their regular donations, sponsorship, or gifts of materials and professional services, give us stability and continuity for our work. Their ongoing commitment allows us to plan ahead, respond to families’ needs, and enrich the services and opportunities we offer. Compassion Circle supporters help ensure that our support is not just available today, but is sustained for the future too.
Compassion Circle supporters receive a personalised thank-you letter with a short impact story about how their generosity is helping us. They are featured in our supporter newsletter, social media, and in other publications like our Lookback at 2025 blog post. They are invited to join us at supporter events or briefings, and can be listed on our supporter webpage and in our or annual report. They also receive a certificate or token of appreciation for proud display!
The Impact Circle – our Change Makers
At the heart of our Circles of Support is the Impact Circle: our major donors and strategic partners whose generosity enables major, transformational change. Their belief in our mission gives us the means and the confidence to reach more families, develop new initiatives to support them, and to grow our impact across the communities we serve.
Joining the Impact Circle means so much more than the donation you’ve made, because you become part of our shared vision for long-term, meaningful change for Embrace and everyone within it. It is an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy of kindness, inclusion, and hope for so many families and the charity as a whole.
Supporters at this level receive a personal thank-you from our Services Director or a trustee, and we also produce a tailored impact update or summary that details how their contribution was used and made a difference. We feature them at events and in publications, and we may also create case studies or promotional videos with them, or co-branded projects that we work on together. Compassion Circle supporters are also invited to exclusive supporter receptions or project visits.
